Brothers and Sisters,

We can all see the commercial building boom in Boston and beyond is continuing. And yet, too often, contractors underestimate the importance of proper mechanical insulation in optimizing an investment. In short-sighted (so-called) “value engineering,” some may instead cut down on critical insulation for the sake of negligible savings during construction — a penny-wise, dollar-foolish miscalculation — neglecting to take into account the potentially serious, long-term cost and safety ramifications. We know that proper mechanical insulation can save commercial facilities up to billions of dollars annually.
