Brothers and Sisters,
Last weekend, Local 6 was honored to attend this year’s charity motorcycle ride to raise money in support of the Helmets to Hardhats (H2H). Hosted by the Massachusetts Building Trades Unions at the Pipefitters Local 537 training center, union Brothers and Sisters across industries turned out in full force to support the important cause.
H2H is a groundbreaking non-profit that connects National Guard, Reserve, and transitioning active-duty members with long-term, family-sustaining careers in the construction industry, and supports them every step of the way. Since 2003, H2H has helped thousands of military service members find quality careers and training in building trade unions.
Attendees met with members and friends, enjoyed food provided by Local 537, participated in a 50/50 raffle, and received Helmets to Hardhats t-shirts to remember the event for years to come.
Together, we also honored the memory of our dear friend Richie Eckler, Regional Field Representative of H2H, who passed away this March. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and attended to support this important cause and to honor Richie’s memory.
In Solidarity,
Heat & Frost Insulators Local 6
